How to Tour the Las Vegas Strip

Some of the best ways to see and experience the wonders of The Strip are through a tour. Sin City’s glitz and glamor can be quite overwhelming, especially for first-timers (unless your sole aim is to hit the slot machines!). Things get much simpler when you hand over the reins to someone else—a welcome break even for seasoned Vegas veterans!

One of the best ways to experience the city’s rich culture, history, and wealth of attractions is to take a guided tour around The Strip, where you’ll find most of Sin City’s iconic structures and spots.

These tours cover the highlights and give you enough information about the sights they don’t cover, giving you a strong base to go exploring on your own. If you have an upcoming trip to Vegas and are wondering how to tour the Las Vegas Strip, here are some of the best tour options.

How to Tour the Las Vegas Strip: The Best Tours Options

My first few times in Vegas, I went in with nothing but a map and Yelp reviews to guide me to the best the Strip has to offer. While this has its own beauty, guided tours are hands down the best way to see the highlights of the Vegas Strip (as I would learn in my subsequent trips), especially if you’re short on both time and cash.

Here are some of the best Las Vegas Strip tours that I recommend.

Big Bus Las Vegas Open Top Night Tour

Lets face it, there is a lot to see while visiting Las Vegas. There’s no doubt that as magical as The Strip is during the day, it’s a whole other wonderland once dusk falls. Glitzy neon lights, erupting volcanoes, dancing fountains and busy casinos bring The Strip to life after dark.

The Big Bus tours will take you along The Strip, where you’ll see the impressive MGM Grand, the fountains at Bellagio, and the grandeur of Caesars Palace, and lets you hop off at Fremont Street for the world-famous Fremont Street Experience, a 24-hour walkway brimming with casinos, great dining joints, and free entertainment.

I took the Standard Tour that’s on the offer, and while I’m someone who can easily walk The Strip and enjoy its sights (something I prefer, too), I was able to see way more on this tour than I would on foot.

The Original Foodie Tour on the Las Vegas Strip

If you’re anything like me, you’d rather eat your way through a city and learn its rich culture than stick to conventional sightseeing!

This was a tour I happily signed up for without hesitation, Vegas’s burgeoning food scene is quickly placing it among the top culinary destinations in the country, and even otherwise, I love my food (maybe even a little excessively, but that’s a story for another time!).

This walking tour combines delectable food and sightseeing, with a local guide taking you through several of the most-loved local eateries and fine-dining destinations. This tour is accompanied by fun history and facts provided by your guide, letting your food take on a deeper meaning in some cases.

I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The tour starts at Grand Bazaar and is limited to groups of 12, which is extremely convenient. Our tour guide was excellent and highly knowledgeable—not only did I walk away with a happy tummy but also picked up some great insider tips on the best watering holes and joints to hit later!

The tour takes roughly about three hours, including bathroom breaks, leisurely walking, ample time at each venue, and sightseeing must-see attractions on the way.

Las Vegas Club or Pool Crawl Experience

This fun tour is a great way to channel your inner celebrity party animal, with VIP access to three of Sin City’s hottest clubs. The party continues on the streets as you take a luxury party bus to each venue, ably helped by the fun tour host and the unlimited mixers, ice, and cups.

The crawl is available both as a daytime pool crawl or a nighttime club excursion and the price includes the cover charge and expedited access at each venue. You have your choice of the three venues.

Las Vegas Strip Helicopter Night Flight

Beholding The Strip from the air is an unparalleled experience that is a must on any bucket list and is easily one of the best tours of the Las Vegas Strip. You can choose from several departure times available throughout the evening and also opt for hotel pickup and drop-off.

Throughout the ride, the pilot (who was extremely professional yet friendly and very knowledgeable) shared fun stories and facts about Vegas while drawing our attention to some of Sin City’s most glamorous sights.

Whether you want to simply see Vegas from the air or have one of the most memorable romantic experiences of your life, this trip is a must experience.
